Video Tutorials
These video tutorials provide all the information needed to use Space Designer 3D. The total duration is about 6 minutes, divided into several parts: starting menu description, creating a new projet with the wizard, loading a room template, main interface presentation and design tools.

Main Interface
The main interface of Space Designer 3D is divided into 3 parts:
- - Menu bar at the top left corner,
- - Project settings tabs at right,
- - Plan viewport in the center.

2.1.
Menu Bar

Sign-out to loggout the software and return to the starting menu.
My Projects opens the list of previously saved projects.
Save the current project just by clicking on this button.
The project is instantly saved and can be reloaded from the menu "My Projects" under the name given in the title text box (label 8).
Print all project information : plan, notes and items list.
Ask our opinion by sending the details of the project to our design professionals.
Share on Facebook the project with family and friends.

Project Settings

Project title text box to write and modify the name of the actual project.
Catalog tab opens a list of objects distributed under several categories. Choose a category from the yellow dropdown menu then drag and drop an object on the plan by holding down mouse left-click.
Rooms tab opens project configuration panel. You can add, rename and delete rooms, but also define rooms height, textures for walls, ceiling and floor.
Notes tab opens a text box area to write ideas, questions, etc.

Plan Viewport

3D View button opens the 3D perspective windows. First view corresponds to the camera position (blue icon on the map). Walk through the project by using the arrow keys and mouse, or, using the buttons at the bottom of the window.

Navigation controls at the top right of the plan, are composed of several elements:
- a. Zoom to zoom in (+ button) or zoom out (- button).
- b. Zoom slider to zoom in/out by dragging it up/down.
- c. Arrows to pan the map up, down, left and right.
- d. Square to resize and center the plan to screen.
Walls is a two-states button :
- - When the icon is an opened cadena, you can :
- - move walls with white dots located at their ends.
- - remove or add walls. Split button to add a dot in the center of the selected wall.
- - texture individually each wall.
- - When the icon is a closed cadena, walls are locked. This function avoids involuntary modifications. Unlock walls just by clicking an other time on the button.
Units can easily be changed on the fly. Just click on the button, choose between Imperial system (ft - ft) or Metric system (in centimeters - cm). When changing units, dimensions, objects and interface are immediately updated.
Scale bar and grid adapt automatically whem zoom or change unit.

Camera is connected to the 3D view: its position and orientation in plan indicate the first 3D view.3.
Commands
Here are all main commands of Space Designer 3D:
3.1.
2D Floor Plan
Pan around the plan using mouse left-click on the plan, or, using the navigation controls.
Zoom in / out using mouse wheel, zoom slider, or, + and - buttons in navigation controls.

Rotate an item by placing the mouse pointer on the circular yellow arrow, and holding down the mouse bleft-click.
Open item properties window by clicking on the + yellow button that appears when the object is selected.
Each item is editable:

Name of the selected item.
Width, Length and Height functions allow to individually change proportions of the object.
Level from ceiling or floor depending on selected object.
For example, to "put" an object on a table, its distance from the floor should be around 02'06".
Rotation to precisely turn the item by entering a degree of rotation.
Horizontal mirror and Vertical mirror to flip the item in every directions. Usefull to define the opening direction of a door.
Apply to finally accept the changes and return to the main interface.
Cross button to cancel.
Preview image of the selected item.
Description of the selected item.
Clone to duplicate the selected object.
Delete to remove it.
3.3.
3D Perspective View

Walk using Forward and Backwards buttons, or, using up and down arrow keys.
Turn using Left and Right buttons, or, using left and right arrow keys.
Look around using Up and Down buttons, or, moving the mouse.
The loading bar shows the percentage of 3D objects loaded. The bar disappears when the scene is complete.
Close the window to return to the main interface.
