Single-Storey House on a Wooded Plot

A contemporary single-storey residence designed with Space Designer 3D, exploring the spatial potential of a compact typology on a wooded plot of approximately 130 sqm of interior space. The architectural intent creates a compact yet fluid layout that fosters daily comfort while maximizing visual and physical connection to the outdoors.

At the heart of the house lies a generous open-plan living area, where the living room and semi-open kitchen are spatially delineated yet visually connected. This central volume acts as a transitional hub, linking the private night zone (four bedrooms and a shared bathroom) to the landscape beyond.

A key feature is the integration of a 40 sqm wooden terrace, designed as an extension of the interior space. Aligned materiality and spatial rhythm turn the terrace into a natural prolongation of the living area, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.

The project privileges natural materials and clarity of volumes, with wood used as both structural and expressive element. The architectural language is deliberately restrained, allowing the relationship to surrounding vegetation to take precedence.

A useful reference for architects exploring compact single-storey residences in wooded settings.
