Residential House

This contemporary residence explores the spatial potential of a single-storey typology on a wooded plot of approximately 130 sqm of interior space. The architectural intent was to create a compact yet fluid layout that fosters daily comfort while maximizing visual and physical connection to the outdoors.

At the heart of the house lies a generous open-plan living area, where the living room and semi-open kitchen are spatially delineated yet visually connected. This central volume acts as a transitional hub, linking the private night zone — comprising four bedrooms and a shared bathroom — to the landscape beyond.

A key feature of the project is the integration of a 40 sqm wooden terrace, designed as an extension of the interior space. By aligning materiality and spatial rhythm, the terrace becomes a natural prolongation of the living area, blurring boundaries between interiority and exteriority.

The project privileges natural materials and clarity of volumes, with the use of wood as both a structural and expressive element. The architectural language is deliberately restrained, allowing the relationship to the surrounding vegetation to take precedence.

This house is an exercise in spatial economy and contextual sensitivity — a domestic architecture that resonates with its environment and supports contemporary modes of living through simplicity, coherence, and openness.
